View Full Version : Segmented Didgeridoo with a Twist.

I thought I would post a few pics of my last project. Started segmented turning a few months ago, and after a few vases I thought I would try something different, and this I what I came up with.

It's a 456 piece didgeridoo, consisting of 38 rings of 12 segments each. It is about 1.5m long and is tapered from 75mm - 95mm with a 50mm bore.
Silky Oak is the main timber, with Aus. cedar spiralling through. The top and bottom caps are Tasmanian Myrtle.

Just have to learn to play it properly now!!

Very nice. My next door neighbour make his own allso. But he has generations of background knowledge to assit him. Rekon they sound nice when played by someone that can blow in them properly.
