Hi Folks,

Can somebody please recommend a good teacher/tutor who runs a 1 or 2 day woodturning workshop for beginners in and around Brisbane (or Sunny/Gold Coast)?

Thank you.

Steve, (toolbagsplus (http://www.woodworkforums.com/members/29049-toolbagsplus/)) does tuition on the Gold Coast. I did a day with him earlier in the year and learnt more than I have in the last 2 years!

Thanks for that Richard, I only look good because I have good people to work with:B

Sorry, but in this case I am unable to help:no: I can do most things Woodworking Wise but fail woefully in the turning department.

However Ben+, if I can help with any other aspects of Woodworking from Furniture and Box Making, Marquetry or French Polishing, Be more than happy to have a chat.

Sorry, Ben and Steve, I read the thread title, but didn't spot that Ben's after turning!

Good luck.

If you're happy to travel to the Coffs Harbour region, John Ewart is excellent :2tsup: I did a course with him at Trend Timbers in Syd and it was great.

woodturninglessons.com.au (http://woodturninglessons.com.au/)

You could even mix a holiday in with it

Cheers,
Dave

Thank you everybody who has replied. I've send an enquiry to Rob McKee and will wait for his reply.

I saw John Ewart's site and the courses he has on offer look great, unfortunately due to work and family commitments, I will struggle to get to Coff's Harbour.
