Timber Bath frame

Hi,
Can anyone advise preferred method of joining timber when constructing a bath frame (free standing)?
Timber size?
It would seem all joins ie vert and horiz need to be flush- so 1/2 joints are all I can think of without getting into mitres with biscuits, tenons etc.

are we talking about a bath hob that's going to be sheeted? If this is the case then just a top and bottom plate with studs nailed at 450 crs is fine, four of them at the appropriate sizes with the corners butted together. You may need to bevel the top plate in order to get the tub to fit. 70 x 45 pine framing (preferably treated) is fine.

oh- thanks Mick- I think I get it. I was getting too complicated with my joinery. So just think "plate" and nail thru' top and bottom to secure a ries of mini studs?!!
