Personal Statement
Gene Chernyak, MD was born in St. Petersburg (formerly Leningrad) in 1957. He finished high school and medical school in St. Petersburg and immigrated to the United States in 1989. He completed his residency in New York and since 1995, he has been practicing Anesthesiology and Pain Management in Pennsylvania.

He has been woodworking since 2001, mostly woodturning, carving, and sculpting. He built his own woodshop in 2003. His works are currently presented in different galleries in Pennsylvania and New York, many
private collections.
