In 6 months time, my Arboga will be due for it's first birthday in my care.

Wanna buy it a birthday pressie, what would it like?

Have got the ER32 collet chuck and collet set. The chuck arbor needs to be modified, I'll ask questions about this later.

I'm thinking a 50mm face mill? What do you reckon?

Hi Ken,

How about a feed of 415volts.... and a chunk of metal to chew on, washed down with some cutting lubricant....:D

It might like a ride home.

I was thinking, it would really love a bloody shed.

It's coming.

Indubitably, I have come to the conclusion, that reviewing the CTC Tools web site, and having a few drams of medicine, is a dangerous mix.

I hit the buy button on these two items.

45 DEGREE INDEXABLE CHAMFER ENDMILL #H94 (http://www.ctctools.biz/servlet/the-630/45-DEGREE-INDEXABLE-CHAMFER/Detail) and

50 MM INDEXABLE FACE MILL, MT3 ARBOR & 10 PCS MITSUBISHI CARBIDE INSERTS #D95 (http://www.ctctools.biz/servlet/the-171/50-MM-INDEXABLE-FACE/Detail)

Lady Arboga will be pleased. My bank manager may not.

Oh well, it's only money, the pain of paying will soon be forgotten

Did you remember the inserts for the 45 degree cutter? As they don't come with any,

45 DEGREE INDEXABLE CHAMFER ENDMILL #H94 (http://www.ctctools.biz/servlet/the-630/45-DEGREE-INDEXABLE-CHAMFER/Detail) and

On that first item under the "detailed description" tab ...would you all say that the dimensions are somewhat incorrect...dimensions for B surely cant be 20 to 80? mm

C..12mm long????

Me thinks that column B should all be 20mmm and those figures in B&C be pushed to the right so they are in C&D

or am I missing something

I would say B and C need to be switched and the D dimension on them might not have the shoulder.

That's a trap. I didn't realise that the inserts are extra. Have now amended my order.

Thanks,

Ken

G'Day,
As it happens a H94 chamfer endmill I had on order turned up this morning, had a quick play with it on some scrap cast iron and some mild steel, it removes metal at a great rate of knots. Surface finish is not great, but acceptable. (but that could be my crappy RF31) . Being able to whack it into a 20mm collet and go makes it a pretty useful tool.
Regards.
