Hey guys,
I'm looking at doing a project similar to what these guys have done here:
8 BIT WOOD | serving all your wooden pixel needs (http://www.8bitwood.com/8/)
Basically, I just need to cut some wood into a whole bunch of perfect squares and then paint & glue them down to another board. The problem is I don't have any sort of machinery to do this precision cutting. I looked at buying a bandsaw from bunnings but even a cheapie is about $280.
Here are two questions I have:
1) Is there some sort of workshop I can goto to mark out the lines I want cut in the wood and cut it myself with a bandsaw or something similar.
2) If no workshop exists can anyone give me tips to cutting perfect squares out of the wood at home.
I've already got some wood at home that I picked up the other week and off the top of my head I think it's about 5mm thick.
Cheers,
