Hi all,

Just wondering if you can point me in the right direction for a decent set of drawer cabinets preferably plastic.

The ones I'm looking for have multiple small sized plastic drawers

Would love to see what drawer cabinets you use for you lathe and mill cutters etc.

Thanks

Glad you asked. I found this cabinet in a dumpster more than 20 years ago and i had my N Gauge train in it for a while. Then i sold most of the train and needed someplace to organize my taps and misc tooling for my lathe and small arbor mill. I bent up some alum sheet in my hand brake to hold the taps acording to sizes...Bob

Hi Chela

i use these for both my mill and my lathe have not found anything as cheap and as good (there not plastic though) i have brought 3 sets and a mate has just brought another 3 as well
i have about 200kg of tooling in the one for my mill and the draws roll very well

? :oo: How good can it really be for that price? I paid nearly that much for a 7 drawer one. And I wasn't that thrilled with the quality.

Bryan,

I think Harty is onto a good thing here, i looked it up and it is a heavy duty unit with bearings, proper paint job and standards certified.

From memory its about 84kg - not a toy.

My Crazy Sales tool cabinet arrived today. Yes it's a Daewoo not a Benz, but I can't really fault it. My only complaint so far is four casters would be better than two. What grates is the top section is identical to the "Kingcrome" one I recently paid ... can't find the receipt but memory says $340. This was $350 for the whole thing! For that price I'm quite happy with a Daewoo. Anyway thanks Harty for the tip-off. Just wish I'd known sooner.

Looks like a nice chest of draws Bryan, a couple of badges and no one would know the difference.
These seem to be coming down in price, years ago my wife gave me a top box for Christmas and being cheap I made the bottom box.
