I have been given a good quantity of red WA sheoak approx 100 x 100 in lengths of 400 to about a metre. Some of it has surprised me and turned out to be lace sheoak when I got into it. It is dry - been in a shed for at least 5 years to my knowledge prior to my obtaining it. I would be very happy to swap some for bowl blanks of different varieties, particularly blackheart leatherwood, sassafras, huon pine or any other coloured or patterned timbers suitable for bowls or platters. I also have a smaller quantity of WA peppermint (Agonis) in similar sizes and may be talked into parting with some of it. What I have turned out of this is similar to blackheart sassafras although slightly darker. Again, a surprise as the raw timber is a dull grey. Happy to send to other states. Phone 0402 459814 if interested.
Thanks,
Bruce
