Hi all,
After lending my fathers 10" Makita sliding compound mitre saw on and off for years I have finally got to the point where I am after my own one.
His saw is a LS1013 and is a fantastic unit. I was leaning towards the 1018 but have decided to go for the 1016.
In doing so I had performed a bit of internet price browsing and will post up the sites and prices for those in the same boat as me. All of these saws are brand new so keep that in mind, also they are from Australian sellers and ergo Australian warranty and backup.
If the part number has an L on the end of it it is a saw with a saw guide laser on it eg. LS1018L.

The first price is just the price of the saw and the second price where applicable is the postage to Melbourne.
Please note that all of these prices are just straight off the net and have not called them up at all so you may do much better if you ring and speak to a Human.
Also keep in mind that these sellers are all over the country so postage may change the final price by a bit.
Hopefully I have not made any spelling errors in the sites so if you copy and paste and you cant find them and they don't work a bit of trial and error will get it.
I did not have the links as I had just written the sites down on a bit of paper so I knew what price was from what seller.
