Hi guys,

I'm looking to add a vice to my workbench. Went down to my local Bunnings on Sunday & they have 1 type of woodworking vice & that is 150mm. Is this too small ? I am a L plate woodworker and assume that when I add timber inside the jaws I'll gain a little bit of size but still it seems awfully small.

Is there anywhere else I can source a woodworking vice from in Brisbane ? I'd rather just buy from a store to save the hassle of looking online etc but don't know where to look.

Many thanks ! :2tsup:

Depends on what you want to do with it. My most-used vice over the past few weeks has been my 120, so no, 150 is not too small. It just depends on what you want to hold at the time. One vice will not cover all situations, most people I know have several in differing sizes.
