G'day All,
I was down at Blackwoods eng. supplies yesterday to pick up my new bench grinder when I came across these - have a look at 'Automatic Locking Pliers"
Pliers, Clamps, & Locking Pliers – CH Hanson: Since 1866 (http://www.chhanson.com/)

These things a bloody brilliant and on special at $19 something this month - I bought 2 pair!!
As my mind was on sharpening (hence the new grinder) I was thinking (hello Hughie ) - wouldn't something like this be great in our commercial grinding jigs to hold gouges etc. - no thumbscrew, no adjusting the sizes, fast and solid pressure. Don't know about you but I find my Woodcut toolholder a PITA to adjust and snug down for every different size tool.
Best new kit Iv'e seen this year :2tsup:
