???Tasmanian Black Wood for under cover deck???

I have an opportunity to purchase approx 42m2 of 25mm thick Tas BW for $1100. I have an roofed patio almost the same size. I have a Tas BW veneered kitchen that the patio opens up from with 6m sliding glass doors onto. Is Tasmanian Blackwood durable enough for an semi exposed outdoor floor, well some of the edges will be fully exposed.
Any technical / professional info will be greatly appreciated.

My brain is saying dont do it but my "Designer" genes are telling me how great it will look awesome.

Reasonable quality blackwood at $2.05 per superfoot is an absolute bargain - you could always keep it for some interior jobs.

But the rot fungus absolutely loves blackwood. You could try very heavy treatment with fungicides, but I think there are better timbers available for your job.

Thanks for the info about rot fungus, I think I'll keep an eye out for a more suitable timber. It would have looked flash though.

Also, it is too good for decking. You have 1 cube of TBW for $1100. Should keep it for making furniture. Or you can sell it for a couple of $K easily. Thats what I would do anyway.
