Free hand work

Now this may set some of use apart
As a carver I free and alot of my work with a pencil
Or from time to time just a chisel

And the other day I was playing with a razor tip setup
just started free handing with a pencil just looking at the picture
As I'm not a fan of transfer paper and at some point filling in with the rozer tip

So how do you do it????
