Hi all, I'm an ex panel beater with many years of MIG welding experience but minimal time on a TIG. I've been out of the trade for a while now but still keep my eye in every now & again on steel.

I've finally gained permission to buy a TIG for the home garage & at this point I'm leaning towards one of these based on feedback on this site.
Welding AC DC Tig inverter welder 200 amp tig welding machine tig welders Alupulse including foot control and gas regulator (http://www.tokentools.com.au/prod18.htm)

200 amp AC/DC with a foot pedal & reg for $1600.
It'll be mainly used for light alloy work, 5mm & under & primarily for work on the tinny (boat).

Does anyone have any current feedback on these, any concerns, any suggestions etc before I cough up the money?
Thanks.

Al

I've go the older alusync 200 which has a similar feature set to this model. I'm very happy with it and the company - search for some of my previous posts. 50% of my welding would be on aluminium including the tinny. Cheers - Mick

Yeah I bought a similar spec but 3phase machine, powertig 250EX about a year ago, and with my limited experience seems do perform nicely on all metals. The TT machines seem to be supported here in Aus too being handy and I would imagine perform well from alll reports.
