Hi team

I have received a request to make some table leg extenders for a table that has turned legs & castors (I have not seen the table yet). Would any one on the forum have any pics are ideas that will give me some ideas.

Best regards
Fred.

I can tell you that it can be a bugger of a job. :(

The biggest problem is "blending" them in to the style of leg and fastening them.

I most cases I have amputated the leg at the first major turning above the castor, drilled a decent sized hole in the leg and turned a dowel on the attachment with decorative beads or something there to hide the join.

Still a mongrel job though. :D

Thanks

It looks like I may have a challenge ahead.

Cheers

Another of the problems you have is the original leg will have gone oval . So your new turning will be round, as indicated you will have to blend the old with the new. A good cost plus job. :D
