Hi I have just finished a course on Windsor Chair making in the UK and have decided to hand make them here. I have ordered some items from Canada (Lee Valley) but need a Travisher to form the seat. Any one got any ideas on getting one I dont want a James Musell one as I cant get on with it.
Thanks in advance
Roger

I have the Asley Isles travisher which works well and is very easy to use. You can just see it beside the seat in the last image (http://www.woodworkforums.com/f187/making-english-comb-back-windsor-chair-117528/index6.html#post1157767).

I have bought travisher blades on eBay from a seller called gandmtoolsales.
My next project is to fashion an appropriate handle, which I suspect will be based on the old-fashioned design for a wooden spokeshave.
