I recently acquired a 1930's Boice-Crane 12" bandsaw in decent condition. It needs some cleaning, a new power cord, and a new drive belt. Does anybody know of a specific size belt this bandsaw would take? I'll post pictures soon to give you a better idea of what I need. Thanks for the help.

I think with that saw you set your own motor so the belt would be what you make it . The dirty papers(manuals) can be found at
OWWM - Boice-Crane Co. - Publication Reprints (http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=111&tab=3)

if you are trying to calculate the belt length try here

Here are some pictures of the bandsaw-

The two drive wheels are 13 1/8 inches apart from axle to axle, the large wheel is 5 inches in diameter, and the small wheel is 2 1/2 inches in diameter. each wheel is 1 1/2 inches wide with a slight crown. Any idea what size belt this would use?

JACK !! Welcome!
Fancy seeing you here!!
I already had Matty (http://www.woodworkforums.com/members/64814-l-s-barker1970/) look at the under / over machine a few days ago, and he couldn't put a name to it.
We must get him to post here more often, he certainly has the best local library of machine catalogues & manuals.
Best regards,
Peter

I had a very similar saw in france where they are still commonly used. The belts were a rubberized canvas that were readily available. The critical part however is alignment. I never got it spot on.

Once up to speed it was fine, but from start you either had to rev the on off switch to build up revs, or have you trusty assistant use use a guide to keep the belt on.
