My firewood supplier gave me a nice sized round of local Yew sometime back and yesterday I decided that it had seasoned long enough. I cut a blank and wrapped it around a two tone copper Elegant Sierra and was pleasantly surprised with the results.

Whaler1, that has got to be a nice piece of Yew, wish my firewood has that colour and grain. The transition of the barrel to components are clean and smooth and finish is great.

Cheers

Thanks all for your great comments.
For those of you that like my sausage dog prop, I was inspired to use it by our two live ones.
