View Full Version : oak oval lidded box, with a beech chatter work insert

Made this oak oval lidded box from leftover pieces of the oak platter with inlay work.
Axis size 120x90 mm, total height 70 mm.
The insert is made out of beech with chatter tool work.
Finished with acrylic stain
With friendly greetings.

Nice little bowl, Ad. I like the idea of the round insert on the top, nice combination.

I like the simplicity of the bowl (if an Lathe turned oval can be called simple) and then all the decorative work going into the lid.

I like the simplicity of the bowl (if an Lathe turned oval can be called simple) and then all the decorative work going into the lid.
