Lower back pain is very common and oddly most cases don't have a specific cause. Equally odd is that there doesn't appear to be big differences in outcomes between forms of treatment.
If you have LBP the clinical guidelines (http://www.annals.org/content/147/7/478.full) from the American College of Physicians is worth a read. Useful info before you consult a doctor or physio.
A minority of cases of LBP do have specific causes and proper diagnosis is essential.
BTW, acetaminophen is paracetamol.
And here is a plain language strategy from our NPS: http://www.nps.org.au/news_and_media/media_releases/repository/Finding_relief_for_low_back_pain
Hope this helps some of you.
