My son is pestering me to make a wooden truck (like he saw on Better Homes and Gardens).

Anyone got any plans - failing that I will have to improvise.

Cheers

Numbat,

I am not sure what size of truck your son is after; but there are plans for relatively small ones (about 275 mm long) in Making Heirloom Toys, which costs US$13.57 from Amazon.

One word: Library

They might have, or can get on 'Interlibrary Loan' a recent Taunton book - 'Terrific Toy Trucks' - heaps of plans & how-to stuff, trucks from pickups to serious Semi rigs & trailers.

Oh, I don't watch BH&G so I have no idea what type you are looking for. You could also try somewhere like " plans.the3house.com " (note - no www) so some simpler & older plans.

Thanks for the info guys. He is a bit old for a pedal car - but I will follow up the other suggestions.

Cheers

Numbat here is a small wooden semi Trailer which has seen 35 years of kids, and would be very simple to make.

Kind regards Mike.

Nine Fingers, any chance of getting a look at those plans. My son has a second birthday coming up and have already made a mini excavator for the sand pit so a dump truck of that scale would be awesome.
