Good Morning All

Thought I would also add this picture of a very large fruit bowl turned from Cape Lilac (I believe also known as White Cedar). After turning Jarrah and Sheoak, it was incredibly soft. I do like the grain, colour and quilting. As it is quite a busy timber, I decided to keep the shape simple, no beads etc

Sincerely
Willy

Yep even though the tree has some annoying noxious weed traits it produces a very nice timber.

Looks good Willy:2tsup:

Hi Willy,nice bowl
I have just purchased a load of cape lilac slabs and love the grain.
I recently made a mirror and rubbed black paint into the grain and rubbed it back it really shows off the grain.
The timber reminds me of English elm in colour texture and figuring.

I thinks you know my partner Maria as she woodturns at wandi !

Hello Willy,

As it looks you do not do things by half and like things big, a matter of fact very big. I like this one as much as the other one you have done recently.
