View Full Version : Buying C-PAP PARTS

I have been using a C-PAP machine to help me sleep for more than 10 years. It is a help to my sleep pattern and without it I walk around the next day feeling half dead. So I really do need it.
The reason for writing this post is I get frustrated everytime I have to change either the foam gaskets on the mask or the humidifying tank. There is a supplier in town who carries the bits I want but more often than not they have to order them in (frustration begins). The next part of the frustration is the (what I consider overpricing) cost of these bits. They seem to be too dear for what you get. I appreciate that they are a health item but....The other part of the frustration is the comment "Oh that's an old machine!".(Frustration building rapidly) Do they expect a person to fork out $2000+ every couple of years so they don't have to carry "old" parts?
So my question is to all you fellas reading this....where do you trade and are you happy with what you have to pay?

Hi M8, Trolling thru threads & come across yours.

I have been on CPAP for a few years now & have found that I can buy CPAP parts from USA landed @ my door in Qld for less than half price & that's including the P&P .

Cheers.

My Dad's been on a CPAP for over 10 years, and when his original failed, he was quoted some outlandish costs.

I went in person to the place, and started asking lots and lots of questions (nicely) about warranty, spares, upgrades, new machine vs. repair, health fund support, etc. etc., and managed to get a brand new machine for him for considerably less than the best repair price. Since then he's had no problems - he's got a DeVilbiss.

Cheers,
Andrew

I have been buying spare parts/consumables from CPAP Australia, in Brissy. They at least have the bits I need. They are not cheap, but I think that being a "health product", allows them to charge like wounded bulls just because they can.
I will have to check over seas stockists and see if I can organise a better deal. Or maybe I am just a tight wad and just like to whinge
