The latest one 6.5"x5.0" finished with WOP and two coats of DO as a sealer. The dull pic is the bowl prior to WOP just the DO.

Hughie prefer the DO look Sue prefers WOP look :U says she wants to see how its done at next GtG. I have not shown her the WiP you did.:;

Ray the burl is very dry, real dry in fact. The first two coats of DO just disappeared and I would have continued, but... the intended person wants a good shine like lacquer.
Plus its a bit hard to polish with all the resin gaps and so on. :C
GTG no worries not sure when but go through it on the day. The one I posted is the bare bones.

Hughie I know what you mean I had to oil a rolling pin an old one from Sue's mum which is fluted and soak it up I'll have to do at least 5 or more coats.

Sorry but I like the dull look allso. Looks more natural. But then again you have done a great job.

Very nice work. I like the way it has come up with the WOP! I wouldn't have thought that you could use WOP over DO so I have learnt something useful today! How long did you wait between the Danish oil coats and the WOP?
