Started up the project with a oval turned package for lid and bowl like showing on the picture.
After I turned the lid, it was not much promising to continue my first intention, to create a laminated oval bowl with lid. It would have turned out in to an ugly thing.
Okay, than without a lid, something I was glad I did, no regret.
I put away the lid for using this for a better design, with a more better promising outcome.
The axis sizes 152x120 mm, height 60 mm.
Finished with transparent acryllic lacquer.
Hope you like it.
Cheers, Ad

Lets see if I've got this right, two different density timbers laminated together and then oval turned - you don't like an easy life do you!

But I've got to say it looks damn good to me.:2tsup:

Ad, great looking oval bowl.
I always like to see turners trying to find out what's possible. Good luck and keep pushing the boundries.
