A furniture maker friend of mine is renting his house out and thought he better finally put the doors on the cupboards.:U So here is a little WIP series.

I quite like doing "production". If you only do one it could have been a fluke. If you do 15 you probably meant it. And have also got a chance to work out the most efficient elegant method to the finished product! :cool:

What no knockers :p

AM I hate production turning/work but when you have to do a few its the best way. I hate when you need to make jigs etc just to make one item and its never used again.

3 coats of danish oil applied. Also did 14 smaller cedar versions of the design! :cool: Jarrah ones about 50 mm diam. Cedar are around 35mm.

An interesting challenge you had there Tea-Lady.

In pic 007, is that a spanner you've ground an edge on to act as a tenon sizer?

In pic 007, is that a spanner you've ground an edge on to act as a tenon sizer?No edge on the spanner. Its just used like calipers and you still use a parting tool. At small diameters the spanners act as an easy already set to size measuring device. :cool:
