Bench top press

I am planning to build a bench top press early next year. This is because so far I haven't seen anything suitable on the market. I am looking for a press that will clamp up a top around 1000mm wide and 4500mm long. I would prefer pneumatic operation but hydraulic will be OK. Does anyone have a spare press lying around or have some good advice on constructing one? I will also be looking for a new wide belt sander next year but won't be able to stretch to a new machine. The price tag is a bit steep. All feed back gratefully received.
