Hi all, looking at the 1400 matched with the module 6a and system table etc to make myself the best router table I can. Any comments on using which router in a table? I am primarily making cabinet style mouldings or picture frame mouldings with proposed router and heard that the 2000 is not for detail work. Would people recommend the 1010 or the 1400 for table ops given a choice?

That all sounds like Chinglish to me.

I have a 2000, and I make some pretty small things with it on occasions. For example here are some wooden hinges I made last year. http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/attachment.php?attachmentid=1750 I have also made Cabinet style mouldings on occasions and it is quite suited to these.

Not sure about using it in a table, but the 1400 is an excellent and versatile router, and worth having. I have used it hand held and loved it. It should have more than enough watts for your table application as well.

It's all right Barry, these Festoolies have a language all their own. Come back to us normal idiots. :D

I've never been called a Festoolie before. One or two other things.

You know termite, that every time I see your image on the forum I begin to shake. This Festoolie spend to much time on his timber homes, which just happen to be in a bloody termite ridden burb.

Dude,
I was originally worried that the 2000 was not a Detail oriented router as well, but made these walnut inlaid dovetails with it and was pleased.
