I picked up the same lathe not so long ago and while I haven't had a chance to take full advantage of it, I'm loving it being in my shed:wink:

Sounded like me when I picked up mine. Think I did a little pee in my pants when I woke up that day :)

All the best for setting up your baby. Remember, there is no cure to the addiction.

Dave that would be an 1-1/4 x 8tpi insert

Jim,
1" x 8 tpi is BSW and has been used on a large number of lathe headstocks.

Lucky you Dave, I'll have to visit and drool on the bed, just so it can go rusty

I'd agree with Jim - latest Nova should be 1 1/4 8 tpi

Great lathe, I have the same. 1-1/4 x 8tpi is right, and I just purchased a Beall spindle tap to make custom wooden faceplates & jam chucks (I checked the size 3 times before ordering).

Just email me the dates please Peter.

 Most sheds do Peter but I thought with CC's R&R and you running the show all on your own you'd have had little time for making a mess.
