Pretty similar to the way I do mine, except I use xxxx steel wool every 3rd layer, so you are building up a decent thickness of CA over flattened CA. By waiting to the end and then sanding starting with 320, you are actually sanding off most of the CA again and run the risk of sanding through the CA, and at 320 you will not see it. By using xxxx between to remove ridges, then continuing with the CA etc and again finishing with xxxx, I go straight to sanding with the micromesh.

On plain wood blanks the total thickness of CA doesn't metter much, as long as you have a good even coat. On WW blanks and other mixed medium blanks you need a good thick layer to help resist the cracking of the CA from differential shrinkage. I also never use accelerator with thin CA, and only apply the accelerator after each 3rd layer of med (or thick).

Each to their own though, what ever works for you is also important.
