Hi,

I have inherited a MK3 but it is not in the greatest condition.

The bench top has most of its surface gone.

Should I pull it appart completly and restore each part?

I have use of a sand blaster and have a local powder coater.

Any suggestions would be usefull.

I have downloaded the instruction manual, so I "should" be able to reassemble it.

Thanks

Peter

I would check with triton, to see if the scales for the top of the Mk3 are still available.

I don't really see the point. If it works and the top is flat, the look og it doesn't matter. Just give it a clean, get cutting and soon you'll be buying every add-on ever made - just like the rest of us....... ;)

Peter,

Why don't you buy a new table top from Triton instead of resurfacing it. From memory they are about $75 plus postage. Much simpler and it will have the scales on it.

BTW scales are available as well.

Peter,
Triton have a deal where you can trade your old Mk3 top in and get $100 off a 2000.
$100 trade in + $75 plus postage to replace the original, to me that would be enough justifaction to trade up.

Saying that, I have a Mk3 and am quite happy to keep it at the moment. I think the trade up deal end in a couple of months so I will restart the arguement with myself then.
