I recently did a workshop with American master Silas Kopf, who uses a scrollsaw or fretsaw rather than a knife. This is a change as I have always used a knife, and it seems to be more accurate and certainly faster. It also means that I can use thicker veneers (I cut my own from offcuts).
This is my first attempt after the workshop. There are a few things I still need to get right, and like all things, it's practice, practice, practice.
Once I'm happy that I can get it right consistently, I might look at doing some boxes with marquetry lids.

Looks good Alex!! :2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

Looks a bit like "The Reluctant Dragon" should look.

Hey Alex,

Whe are you going to post some pics of those stunning panels you displayed at the SWWWS?

Gotcha,

Absolutely awesome, and more so in the "flesh" so to speak.
