My daughter wanted a fruit bowl in dark wood so I used a chunk of Northern Swamp Bloodwood. I was surprised at the redness of the wood as I turned it. It's finished in Danish oil and the plastic board beneath it is 450mm long as I forgot to measure it.http://www.woodworkforums.com/images/attach/jpg.gifhttp://www.woodworkforums.com/images/attach/jpg.gif

That's a good looking chunk of timber you have there. I also think you have done a great job on the shape as well.
Good Job!
