Little ? Bowl

Hi all:U
I attacked a bowl today that I had rough turned a couple of months ago. It had a couple of cracks in as you can see, so I mixed a bit of sawdust and a two part apoxy together and tried to pack it into the cracks. I had limited penetration into the crack. I wouldnt do it again because the fumes were quite strong when I started turning. The timber is hard but thanks to the guys at my club helping sharpen my tools it made good work off the timber. Being a novice Im still learning the different timbers, So if anyone has any ideas from the pictures I have supplied ,I would be greatful.

Ps It has no finish so it might be easier to tell what timber it is..

Its not my first bowl but Im still trying to improve my forms.

Wet the crack with thin CA then pack with sawdust and soak with thin CA.
The CA will penetrate the sawdust.

Repeat if you cut into a void.

Thanks DavidG for the info. I gave it a try this afternoon it worked well. Any ideas on the type of timber? Cheers Skewturn
