Do they exist?

I'm making some raised panel bulkheads for my huon pine H28 that I'm rebuilding.

I have a decent Makita plunge router that I'm currently making a table for, but it is an 8mm router and I have only been able to find 12mm rail and style bit sets at any of the usual suppliers (Carbatec etc) or on line.

Does anyone here know if it is possible to get 6mm or 8mm sets?

I guess my alternative is to simplify the construction and use biscuit or dowell joints for the styles but I'd rather do it properly.

I can't get that link to open so I may have been looking at the wrong one, I went to the sight and tried to find what the link seemed to be referring to and it showed the cutter for making the profile on the raised panel, rather than the rail and style profile that I'm after. Thanks anyway
cheers, Greg

Hi Larks,
Try this (http://www.idealtools.com.au/festool/routers-and-accessories/cutters-router-bits/cutters-for-working-with-timber/raised-panel-facing-cutters-hw/festool-facing-cutter-hw-shank-8-mm-hw-d42-7-13-r6), but I'm not sure it's what you want.
Or you could try a Carbitool Cove bit (http://www.carbitool.com.au/pdf%27s/PageR020.pdf)on a 1/4" shank with a collet reducer. Most of Carbitool's raised panel bits are on 1/2" shanks.

Regards,

Rob

...a word of caution... only use ¼" bits in a ¼" collet
...8mm bits in an 8mm collet.
Lee Valley has 8mm shank bits.
