My Makita 5900B circular saw has a whining noise like a damaged bearing as it winds down after releasing the trigger. Can I find a repair manual somewhere? My googling has not been successful.

I have a original Makita parts list / diagram for a 5900B, it is not a repair manual but will
help you identify and name the part you need.

thanks Alan, since posting I got carried away and dismantled the saw. It turned out to be simple, and I found the bearing on the drive end of the armature to be a bit stiff. I removed the seal on the side of the bearing and squeezed a bit of boating grease into the bearing. On reassembly, it ran like a charm. Hopefully this grease will last a while. I bought the saw in 1985, and this is the first service of any kind. Thanks for your reply.
