Hegner Unimax

Mik have the Hegner Unimax at about $315.

Anyone have this saw and what do you think of it?

I am particularly intrigued by the following comment from the description:

"The unique feature of the Unimax is the blade is fixed only at the lower end,"

What - How - Why ? etc

I dont own one but have seen one operating. It uses shorter blades and you can take the top arm off so that you dont have to undo the clamps for every hole change when doing fretwork. When run with the arm it runs up a groove in the top arm for support.

Thats about the limit of my knowledge of that saw
