last weekend at my local club we got asked by one of the members if we could make 19 little boxes or bowls as gifts for some guests from mackays sister city in japan
and got told that it had to be reasonably small
i decided to make a box out of burdiken plum and during turning i wasnt happy with the final section so i turned if off and made up a little knob using a scrap of red mallee burl , i thought because that for them that its a special gift from AUSTRALIA i decided to inlay a 5cent piece in the inside of the lid and inlay a 10c on the base
finished with DO , hope the lucky person likes it pics of the outside crappy but the next 2 pics are good still playing with this new camera
