My lathe gave up the ghost between Christmas and new year. It was 40+ years old so I decided to retire it and buy something new - more on that in another thread.
But anyway my new lathe arrived about a month ago and I've been getting to know it. Bashed out lot of small items for our clubs big summer show attendance and have been working on a few nicer pieces for our sales table.
Here's a tall stemmed goblet - English Yew over American Black Walnut.
The Goblet is 1/8" thick and 3 1/4" diameter (3mm x 80mm), the whole thing is 11 1/2" (290mm) Tall, It has a tiny captive ring and a minimum stem diameter of 4mm.
And yes, I turned the stem and small captive ring with my skews.
