Both the other half and I are critical care nurses which tends to open up many opportunities when you travel or go and live, not that we've been far. We've lately been throwing around the idea of living 'somewhere rural or outback' for a while now. I've suggested the Queensland tablelands whereas the good lady is open to any suggestions. Throw into the mix our 6yo and 4yo daughters therefore we need something with decent services and great community. We want to do this for our children, to give them some perspective in life before they attend high school.

Keeping the above in mind, where would you suggest and why?

Would it mean you giving up the office job and going back to shift work?

Looking to do retrieval or something exciting ?

I wish you well.

We've always done shift work. Her, Emergency & Me, ICU and Anaesthetics.

If I'm lucky! Everyone wants that sort of job. We'd do (almost) anything.

I wish you well.

Thanks Paul :)

i thought you posted somewhere that you had finished shift work for a while?

Not too many tertiary / quarternary ICUs in the bush is there?

Mostly multipurpose centres and aged care i would have thought.

Yeah, we're aware of the type of work out there, even agency. I do some agency for Code Blue who are national so the 'who' is taken care of. We're more looking at location (where) then work out what sort of work there is.

If it were me i would probably piece together a "tour" based on locations your family would like to go or try before living there and where code blue have work rather than one place
