Hi.
This is my first post,great site.
I down loaded stickies calculator. Can anyone give me an idea on howmuch i should i pay per cubic metre of dressed blackwood and sassafras? and some good places to buy it from?

Hi there

Prices vary greatly, depending on size, grade, figure, etc. Plain blackwood is obviously cheaper than birdseye and fiddleback, while smaller sizes are cheaper than, say 150 x 150, 10 year dried, square stock.

To answer your question, what size and grade are you looking for and what is the end use?

mal at Boutique Timbers has blackwood, 25 and 50mm thick, price around $3000/cubic metre for rough sawn. dressing may cost a bit extra He's at rollands Plains near Port Macquarieand delivers to Newcastle. I think he may have some sass as well

I am looking for enough blackwood to build a table 2.2mt x .9mt x 32mm thick as feature in fiddleback,+four square meters at 25mm thick straight grain , or the same in blackhart sass.
