Glued up beech platter with red cedar star inlay work, a fun project which took not to much time.
Dimensions, 310 mm in diameter, height 25 mm.
Finished with two layers acrylic lacquer.
Thanks for looking, remarks or critique are welcome.
Cheers, Ad

Ad, I notice the Star does not go all the way through so I'm guessing it's laid-into the Beech. Lot's of mileage in this idea,

Well done.

Yes you're seeing it right, it's laid into a 4 mm deep recess.

I really really like this piece. Did you take any progress pics? I'm interested in trying something similar but not sure how I would go about some of the steps.

Arthur, thanks, how are you after moving to Dundowran Beach, seems a nice spot like I saw, also a good spot for coast fishing, something for me...)))
