I have a need to turn an oval on lets say a leg that is tapered.
Google searches have not helped me and I am wondering whether this is even possible.

The project is for making spokes on a canon wheel. these are tapered and the spoke is oval on the top and bottom.

Any help appreciated

 I get to watch too.:D

(BTW the wheel making shop at Sovereign Hill makes them with an oval shape. They have some kind of gearing on their old automated machines. A wonder to behold. )

I wouldn't knock back 's offer but 'till you get there do a google search of "turning oval handles" or "oval turning". Should get you started on the right track with the technique. :)
