Hi everyone, this is my first post on here so I hope I don't do or say anything wrong!
I saw a nice tool rest for a bench grinder on U-Tube by Stumpy Nubbs - Homemade Grinder Tool Rest & Veritas Grinding Jig Review-Woodworking with Stumpy Nubs #7 - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU4w4K8nWLo).
It consisted of a timber base frame and a Veritas Grinding Jig.
It is slightly better than the Veritas stand in that it allowed you to move the plane or chisel forward incrementally if needed.
I have done a CAD drawing and put it into a PDF format so anyone can view it.
I have included a cam arrangement that I think will simplify the various grinding angles and also allow a firmer lock as the original relied completely on a lock nut.
Any advice or comment is appreciated and I will do more with the drawings if anyone would like to use them.
Thanks
