This a pdf of a jig that my dad made before I was born (when dinosaurs roamed). It saves time if you have several turnings of the same blank size. The top piece has the corner stop cut out and a clearance hole at the crotch so dust doesn't move the blank out of contact with the edges. The second hole in that part is threaded. A thumb screw is used in in this hole to hold the bar in place once adjustment is made. The bottom plate must be carefully made so that the slot is centered exactly diagonal from corner to corner. The slot must allow the bar to slide freely so it needs to be a few thousandths wider and deeper in the corresponding dimensions both ways. The pin is a sharpened set screw threaded into the bar with the point left projecting out the top. Fasten the top plate to the bottom plate. Set either the jig on the turning (if the blank is large) or place the blank in the jig and bump with the hand or a hammer. Flip the blank end for end and repeat. Done! It is completely scalable to your needs. enjoy!
