G'day
Here's a natural edge burl bowl I just finished . I rouged this out 2-3 years ago and can't read the ID now . I thought it was coolabah but not so sure now . The burl came from western NSW.What do you reckon?
Maximim width is 330mm and the height is 50mm. Finish is DO,

Nice bowl, Ted

bit different from any of the coolabah I've seen, is it really a burl or a bit of crotch or something?

But whatever it looks great!

Ted, Dunno if its Coolibah :? But its a great bowl, a couple of things I really like. The edge treatement and the slight downward curve are avery good touches :2tsup:

Thanks for the comments . I'm going to write coolabah on it anyway. By elimination I can't see how it could be any other burl that I got from this supplier.
Hughie .Yes I like the droopy edge look on this style of bowl.

I reckon you could call it what you like - the average man on the street isn't going to have any idea and there is the fact that there is great cariation within a species.

And I like the droopy look as well!
