I'm looking for pictures that depict the work done by Forum Members to enlarge to poster size to display on Ubeauts Woodwork Forums’ site at the Melbourne W.W.W. Show. Can you help out?

I'd like a range of pictures from as many WWForums as possible. I'd prefer (but not essential) pictures of people working on what ever they're making or standing by it or at least a hand or two in view. In the shed shots would be great, get-together group shots, a close up of some element in your work, pride and joy shots, all will be considered.

I need as high a resolution picture as possible (certainly bigger than the 800 x 600 px limit on the WWForum) but I'm not sure of the most efficient way to get them from you to me, any advice on that matter would be appreciated. Just simply mailing a CD to me could be the go. Please PM me to arrange something or other.

Your pictures won't be used for any other purpose other than for the W.W.W display. It'd be good if a brief description could be provided together with the pictures identification and an indication of whether you want your forum name to be displayed or not.

Well, what about it then?

I can't find hi-res pics, can low res be used in smaller pics in a mosaic or montage effect? If so send me your email and I'll send some, unless you'd rather download them from Google+.

SW

I have sent on some pix by email. They will probably only take three or four days to download:rolleyes:.

As others have mentioned, the problem is that most pics have been reduced to postage stamp size for posting on the forum. Groggy's idea of a montage could work well except that in his case, with a bench of such magnitude, only a full resolution piccy will suffice:p.

I also expect to see a life size depiction of a rusty, barbed wire sculpture :).

Paul

I'm amazed by how many people don't keep the original files!

I melt them down and make new tools out of them. Oooh, you're talking IT :- .

I got messages saying the files were too big (4mb each) so I have put them in dropbox. The files are of the bench taken with/without flash and also of various clamping methods.

I tried to put the pics in the thread but they would slow it down too much for anyone trying to open it so I have removed the actual images. Anyone wanting to see them can just past the link in their browser but be warned they are big files.

That happened to me too but I'd sent out a request to the toymakers for photos to be sent direct to Craig, so I think he's had a lot of traffic.
Give a day & resent them as I did and worked fine.
i can't wait to see the end result.
cheers, crowie

Hi Springy,
Here's a few taken of the process from log to table, lots more of the inbetween if you need and lots more of other made objects, these are reduced for forum requirements, I have the originals so they are more like 800 900 kb.

Thank you Pete, I'll do some tests over the next few days to see how far I can enlarge the pictures before they go blurry, I suspect I may have have to request your 8-900 Kb versions though if you don't mind.

It's been a bit hectic gathering all the pictures being sent, thanks for peoples patience and endurance in trying to get their pictures through to me.

I think Craig has done an outstanding job on the photo display. I received the four A0 sheets this afternoon and was astounded at the professional job he produced. This is something we can be very proud to have on the forum stand and should attract a lot of interest. I'll be trying to get them laminated tomorrow morning so they can be used on all the shows.

Great job - have a greenie :2tsup::2tsup::2tsup::2tsup::2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:
