Redback's painted ... well, her base colour. Now I want to do the trim, and that's where I'd like some suggestions. Yes, I know it's a personal thing but I can't find enough photos of this inwale setup to let me make a rational guess of what she'll look like. I'm hoping someone who's seen more boats than me can give some guidance.

Anyway, as you can tell from the piccy, the inwale is offset on blocks.
The trim colour is a bright blue (coz it's what I got).
I'll be doing the outside face of the gunwales at least but ...

do I leave it there?
Extend the colour over the top of the gunwale to the inside face of the planking?
Do the inwales as well? In which case I'd do the four knees and that doubler on the inner face of the rear transon.

Any help'd be appreciated. I plan to paint tomorrow or sunday.

Cheers
Richard

I think the Sturdee would go for WHITE with maybe an orange trim.

Lovely build by the way.

Oo! Oo! Didn't think of putting speakers in there. And there's enough room in them tanks for a sound system.

Dammit, I thought I'd finished this boat.

Now, with a 12V gell cell, and ...

How about a wind generator or a solar panel to run a couple of 500 watt subwoofers
Maybe pedal power instead of oars with generater attached

Oh bleeden' heck. Go away you lot. Cripes, a man's not even safe in his dink :D

Thanks Midge, I love that spider. Even looks half alright in real life.

The oars are coming. I painted her with enamel which takes a bit of time to toughen up. The plan was to use making the oars as a time constraint - I can't use her until they're finished, hence giving the enamel time to harden. Having said that, they are laminated and squared, just ready to go knocking all the rough edges off them. And the beauty is, I've already made a couple of mistakes so I won't mind having to make a pair of seven footers in a few months time. :D

I fitted the rowlocks and inspection ports this arvo - good old sikaflex. Even spliced a couple of loops into a painter to go on the loop I've fitted on the bow transom. I could dunk her tomorrow if I was mad enough.

Cheers
Richard
