RJT 27th September 2012, 08:04 PM I'm hoping someone on here knows where I can get a drive belt for my Waldown Hispeed drill , this belt is listed in the instruction as a
Daclon endless No2 brown , it is 38" long ,1/2" wide,3/64" thick , it's thin and light so it'll stay on the pulleys at it's 18,000rpm .
No joy at Brobo/Waldown .
Thanks People

issatree 27th September 2012, 08:34 PM Hi Jim,
Was just wondering, if a bit of that Round Orange Belt, with the hole down the middle would do the job. You cut it to length, & it comes with this bit of Aluminum, the you join the Belt with.
I used a bit years ago on a Wood Lathe, & it never gave me a problem at any time
nearnexus 27th September 2012, 08:54 PM Try CBC (Consolidated Bearing Company) - they are in most capital cities.
They have a big range of drive belts in most configurations.
Prices are OK as well.

jhovel 27th September 2012, 09:23 PM Sorry I can't help, but if you find a source, I will be very intersted! Mine is somewhere around 50 years old and I worry what I will do when it fails....
Please publish any sources you find.
C-47 27th September 2012, 10:01 PM Jim,
It might be worth trying "Seigling" they make various types of belts and are/were in Welshpool IIRC. Just google. I have had several belts made by them and have been happy with the service. Alan.
Anorak Bob 27th September 2012, 11:12 PM Hello Jim,
To add another local possibility, you could try Habasit in Malaga. They made a 1/16" x 9/16" x 18" belt for my 38,500 rpm tool post grinder.
Habasit (Australia) Pty Limited in Perth | WA (http://bloo.com.au/Habasit-Australia-Pty-Limited/Perth/Malaga/WA/5117600/)
Hughans Saw Service in Osborne Park are Brobo Waldown agents. Might be a chance they have a replacement belt.
Bob.
