Hello folks

here is one of my latest cast blaks- it has onelarge pine cone embedded within the resin with the base ofthecone at the top of the forrm (i might try the next one the other way up)
Its 3 1/2" tall by 2 7/8" wide

George, not quite as dramatic as some of your others, the fully opened cone (it has to be to be dry - I'm assuming) looks great at the top but less interesting lower down.

But I'd like to see the reverse effect as one of your boxes, I thing the cone base would make a really wonderful lid effect.

What is amazing is the colour of your casting resin, that is outstanding.

Innovative as always George, I really enjoy your work and this is no exception.


Interesting choice of material, what stands out for me is the rich colour and pattern of the cone. I reckon you could play around with this one in all sorts of configurations. :2tsup:

I use 3 types of mop and 3 compounds to buff my work- they are all the mezerna brand and are:
stage 1-113gzp compound with B quality loose leaf mop
stage 2-glosswax 16 compound with g quality mop
stage 3-Atol 6 compound with WDR quality mop
